Resurrection Day

Then will come the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. (I Cor. 15:24)

Paul’s letter on the resurrection of Christ includes these radical words concerning resurrection. Total surrender of self ultimately results in total unity in Being, even no Father appearing to originate creation apart from individual consciousness, ultimately no need for human reconciliation. What does this mean?

As we become conscious of the One Being within all creation, we realize, we begin to personify the presence of Source. Our role in resurrection, transcending the travails of human existence is to hold to the Truth of Being while concurrently totally embracing our humanity. We do transcend, but we cannot “escape.”

Certainly our mortal perception is not the ultimate in understanding. That which “stands under” our existence–our platform of being–is not of the world, yet is the Spirit of existence. Becoming One is the journey of the soul’s awakening, becoming at-one with Creator in creation. This “at-one-ment” is the process of spiritual evolution, the miracle of transcendent experience in the world.

As we embrace, appreciate and live in gratitude for ever-creative eternal life while living in the experience of time and space, we “die” to human fear and manipulation. We let go of needing to personally possess or control. As we let go of the part of our perception that needs to personally influence, we live more fully in the present moment, resurrecting from the challenges of existence, even the appearance of physical mortality. This radical surrender by the individual is met in our experience by radical surrender by Allness, “as above, so below.”

We need not overly concern ourselves with the mechanism of existence, lest we get caught in subtle traps of duality. Our understanding of the Father, the Christ Son within humanity and the activity of Spirit in awakening consciousness, is informative to our growth. We utilize tools, but then must let go, for ultimately there are no tools, as there is nothing separate from Source.

We resurrect in the eternal Now, beyond place, duration of time or any particular dimension of being, including our constructs of God. Faith engendered through spiritual study and practice leads us to the waters of Spirit and we drink. Ultimately we resurrect from the human condition, becoming one with the river of Spirit.

As we contemplate mysteries of Being, utilizing the spiritual discipline with which we are blessed, let us truly “rest in peace” while in present life. Our soul weariness with human desire and ambition has led us to this point. Let us die to human effort. Let us live our lives with great purpose, performing acts that transcend illusion, yet let us do so without the burden of personal rule, authority or power.

Now is the time;

I am willing to let go of all illusion,

I am willing to let go of struggle and hardship.

Through the indwelling breath of the conscious I AM,

I know Truth,

I release fear; I relinquish grudges and anger;

I let go; I am without attachment.

Guilt is fading away, has disappeared.

I (and all of creation), have done the best possible,

given the appearance of circumstances.

I let go and realize:

I am ok,

I am, indeed all of creation is brimming, overflowing love and appreciation.

I am perfect just as I am.

All I see is the joy of unfolding love.

I behold,

I AM.
